The Despacito song was at its peak popularity in 2017 however 19 mostly Spanish tracks made the Top 100 for 2020. there were 41 of them. In the wake of Justin Bieber's dual remix to Despacito (2017) famous artists soon began collaborating with reggaeton musicians, such as Drake with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) as well as Madonna with Maluma for Medellin (2019). Some reggaeton artists have criticized the shift to mainstream music in 2020. But a new group, Rauw alejandro, was trying to change the course.
