Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. Parents named her Winona after her home town. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor along with Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's father was from a Jewish family. Ryder thinks she's Jewish. Ryder has a younger brother Uria as well as two half siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder as well as her entire family moved to California's Mendocino County at the age of seven. Ryder was just seven. The family didn't have electricity. Ryder began to be a committed book reader because there was television. Ryder, then 12, took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. Lucas The film from 1986, was her first major character. Ryder was just fifteen when she landed the role. Ryder experienced bullying at her high school. Ryder believed that her future as an actress could help. However, the plan didn't pan out.
